Bleeding during menopause?

i'm 48 years old, I am going through menopause ,and haven't had a period for two years. I have been bleeding moderate to heavy loosing blood cluts (looks like lumps of blood) for the last two days.I can't go to a dr. yet because my insurance doesnt kick in until next week, any help would be appreciated. im wondering if this is normal or if it means that something is wrong, just to hold me over until i can get to a doctor. thanks.
