Who is the conductor of a touring orchestra recently featured on clic fm- Andre someone?

I was listening to an interview last week on Clic FM (I think; it could have been Radio 3) with a conductor who was talking about his orchestra which is touring at the moment. I cant remember his surname. Andre someone. He was describing how his wife supported him whilst he was trying to branch out on his own. I would love to find out so I can attend one of the performances. Anyone know?
