That is correct. The Law filtered all the way to blood sacrifices. But the blood of animals can ONLY cover up not cleanse sins. Jesus came as the Perfect sacrifice- the Sacrifice that takes away the sins of man. God entered into a covenant with Abraham. Jesus IS the New and Everlasting covenant. This second covenant, supersedes the old. Therefore, we do NOT have to live by the Law, because no one was ever saved by the letter of the Law, they were saved by the intent.
