Does this stand out from Narnia?

So, when my characters enter the world (which is a snow world, all the time! It's not a curse or anything), instead of them all suprised, happy, excited, etc. What if they weren't feeling this at all? If they were feeling differently from what the Pevensie's had their first time, would that stand out?
