I really like him....but he thinks I'm a stalker?!?

There's this guy that I really like, and in February some really, uh, awkward...stuff happened, and then after that, I think he might have liked me but I'm not sure. We never talk to each other now, I mean ever. But now I heard that he doesn't like me at all. He thinks I'm really annoying, which is odd because I've never really had a conversation with him longer than 30 seconds. My friend Libby, who was trying to play matchmaker(but is VERY bad at it) said "Why don't you like her? She's so much prettier than you!" and he was like "uhhhh...she's kind of a stalker....." and she said "yeah, she's obsessed with you, so what?" I'm not mad at her, because I know she was just trying to help, but now I have no idea what to do. We never talk to each other. I feel like if I tried, he would just be like "ewww, what a stalker". I REALLY like him, and it's killing me that he dislikes me so much. I have to sit next to him in orchestra this week, and we basically talk to everyone but each other. What do I do?!
