its the same thing dude, vale tudo is the brazillian term for "no-holds barred" meaning no rules, its not a style. To this day in brazil you can participate in Vale Tudo which there are no rules, its very brutal. Thats where alot of big names like Wanderlie Silva and Mark Kerr got their start.
